| Robert M Friedland Chairman and Non-Executive Director | | | Mr. Friedland was appointed as Chairman of Ivanhoe Australia Limited in 2007. He is the founder, and Chief Executive Officer of Ivanhoe Mines, Executive Chairman of Ivanplats Ltd, Chairman of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation and co-founder and Executive Co Chairman of Ivanhoe Energy.
A well-known financier of international resource projects, Mr. Friedland has led Ivanhoe Mines' discovery and current development of the Oyu Tolgoi deposit in Mongolia, which is the world's largest undeveloped and highest-grade porphyry copper and gold deposit. Other current mine development projects include the high-quality coal discoveries being developed by SouthGobi Resources at Nariin Sukhait, also in southern Mongolia, and various mineral discoveries in Africa.
Mr. Friedland was named 2006 Mining Person of the Year by Canada's Northern Miner newspaper for his success in the development of the Oyu Tolgoi project, including the formation of a strategic partnership with Rio Tinto. He was previously named Developer of the Year in 1996 by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

| Peter D. Reeve Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director | | | Peter was appointed a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ivanhoe Australia in February 2007.
Peter has been involved in the Australian resources industry for approximately 25 years after qualifying as a metallurgist in the early 1980s. His industry experience includes positions with Rio Tinto, Shell-Billiton and Normet Consulting, a metallurgical consulting firm, before joining Goldman Sachs/JBWere in Investment Management and Corporate Finance roles relating to the Australian resource industry. In 2001, Peter joined Newcrest Mining Ltd., as part of the Executive Committee responsible for corporate development and market related aspects for the group, a position that he occupied until 2006. Peter is a director of EXCO Resources and Emmerson Resources. He is also a director of Ivanplats Syerston Pty Ltd, Ivanplats Holding Company Pty Ltd and Ivanplats Services Pty Ltd (all Australian subsidiaries of Ivanhoe Nickel & Platinum Ltd.).

| John A. Macken Non-Executive Director | | | John was appointed a Director of Ivanhoe Australia in 2007. He is currently a Director and President of Ivanhoe Mines and Director of South Gobi Resources Ltd. Prior to joining Ivanhoe Mines in 2003, John worked for Freeport McMoran Copper and Gold, most recently as Freeport's Senior Vice-President of Strategic Planning and Development, based in New Orleans. He spent a total of 13 years with Freeport's operating unit, P.T. Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), culminating in the position of Executive Vice-President and General Manager at Freeport's Grasberg mining complex in Papua, the world's largest single copper and gold mine.
John has a Bachelor in Engineering (BA, BAI) from Trinity College, Dublin University, and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers in Ireland. |

Meredith Non-Executive Director | | | Peter was appointed a Director of Ivanhoe Australia in November 2006 He is currently a Director and Deputy Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd and Chairman of South Gobi Resources Ltd which is a publically listed majority owned subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines. Peter was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Ivanhoe Mines and previous to that spent 31 years with Deloitte and Touche LLP, Chartered Accountants.
Peter is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA), and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Ordre des Comptables agrees du Quebec. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Member of the Certified Management Accountants Society of British Columbia and Yukon. |

| Professor Ian R Plimer Independent Non-Executive Director | | | Ian was appointed a director of Ivanhoe Australia in 2007. Ian is a Professor of Mining Geology at the University Of Adelaide, South Australia, and Emeritus Professor of Earth Sciences at the University of Melbourne. He has previously held academic positions as Professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, and at the University of Newcastle. His academic career includes the Leopold von Buch Medal for Science, the Centenary Medal and the Eureka Prize (twice).
Ian has previously been on the staff of North Broken Hill Ltd, and is a prominent Australian geologist who has spent most of his industry, consulting and scientific life working on base metal deposits, particularly in Broken Hill, epithermal gold deposits, especially in the Mediterranean, and tungsten-tin-molybdenum deposits. He has predicted and discovered a number of epithermal gold deposits in the Mediterranean.
Ian is a respected scientist, has published 6 books and 130 scientific papers and edited the Academic Press Encyclopaedia of Geology. He is a fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, a Fellow of the Australiasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.

| Kyle Wightman Independent Non-Executive Director | | | Kyle was appointed a Director of Ivanhoe Australia in 2008 and is Chairman of the Audit Committee. Kyle is an economist, financier and business consultant with over 40 years experience, particularly relating to the feasibility, development and financing of major projects and investments. He has held a number of senior roles, including positions in CRA Limited (now Rio Tinto Limited) as Treasurer-AM&S and Treasurer-Projects; in both Chase Manhattan Bank Australasia and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited as Head of Project & Structured Finance; and in PricewaterhouseCoopers as Director-Projects.
Kyle now advises private and public sector clients on major projects and transactions through his own company, Tait Capital Pty Ltd.
He has been involved in the development and financing of a significant number of major projects, including Argyle Diamonds, Tarong Coal, Mount Channar Iron Ore, Misima Gold, Energy Developments Ltd, Melbourne City Link and the Loy Yang A Power Privatisation.

| Sam Riggall Non-Executive Director | | | Sam was appointed Non-Executive Director of Ivanhoe Australia on 13 February 2011. He is currently Executive Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Planning of Ivanhoe Mines. Sam was previously Executive General Manager -- Commercial for Ivanhoe Australia. Prior to joining the Ivanhoe Group Sam was with Rio Tinto as the Chief Negotiator for the Investment Agreement for the Oyu Tolgoi Project in Mongolia. Sam has extensive mining industry experience in many parts of the world and has worked in a variety of commodity and functional roles within Rio Tinto, including industrial minerals, base metals, exploration, investment evaluation, business development, and capital market transactions. He brings a wide range of commercial and industry-specific skills to Ivanhoe.

| Inés Scotland Independent Non-Executive Director | | | Inés was appointed a director of Ivanhoe Australia in June 2011.
Inés is the former Managing Director of Citadel Resources Group having founded the company and managed the successful ASX listing and growth prior to its acquisition by Equinox Minerals in late 2010. Prior to establishing Citadel, she worked for Vertex Services for two years; during 15 years with Rio Tinto she worked with Comalco, Boyne Smelters, Lihir Gold and Kennecott Utah Copper.
Inés has extensive experience in international resource companies across the mining value chain from exploration, studies, construction and operations.
Inés holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |

| Jim Askew Independent Non-Executive Director | | | Jim was appointed a director of Ivanhoe Australia in June 2011. Jim is a mining engineer with over 35 years of international mining and business experience leading numerous mining service and mining companies. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer for a wide range of Australian and international publically listed mining, mining finance and other mining related companies. Jim founded Golden Shamrock Mines, James Askew & Associates (now known as Australian Mining Consultants - AMC) and co-founded Ausdrill.
Jim has extensive international resources experience in mining and mining service related companies and has had exposure to a wide range of commodities.
A non-executive Chairman of OceanaGold and director of Conquest Mining and Golden Star Resources, Jim holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (Honours) and Masters Degree, Engineering Science. |
