Position: Non-Executive Director
Peter was appointed a Director of Ivanhoe Australia in December 2004. He is currently a Director and Deputy Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. He has also been the Chief Financial Officer of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation since June 1996. Peter is also a Director (since August 2003) of SouthGobi Energy Resources Ltd. (formerly Asia Gold Corp.) which is a publicly-listed and 90%-owned subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd, and has recently been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in June 2007. Previously, he spent 31 years with Deloitte and Touche LLP, Chartered Accountants.
Peter is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA), and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Ordre des Comptables agrees du Quebec. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Member of the Certified Management Accountants Society of British Columbia and Yukon.
