In 2010 Ivanhoe Australia provided vacation employment over the summer period to several geology students from universities in Townsville and Melbourne. The students worked in several of the departments at our Cloncurry Project, including work on the Greenfields and Brownfields exploration programs, and in the Development department working on the exciting Merlin Project mine development, sampling core and working with our exploration drill rigs.

WHO CAN APPLY

If you are completing or soon to complete your 2nd or 3rd year of your degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Science, Surveying, Mining Engineering or similar studies, you should consider vacation work with Ivanhoe Australia.

We will consider all applications for vacation employment and make offers to potential vacation students by end of October 2010.

WHAT YOU WILL RECIEVE

From early December through until the end of February, you will play an integral role in the operation of our Cloncurry Projects located in Queensland. You will be involved in the action and learn the practical aspects of delivery of exploration programs and development of a mining project from a team of experienced professionals.
